Before Bain made a name for himself as a fearsome commander for the Federation, he was busy collectiong doctorates in all possible fields of science. Once Professor Bain, a mild mannered scholar of the Federation, serving as both director of the Institute of Research on Intelligent Life (IRIL) and a mechanical engineering consultant for the Militarty Research Department. Director Krats of the MRD has even hailed Bain as the greatest genius of our generation. His scholarly pursuits came to an end when a freak accident changed his brilliant mind forever. While conductiong an experiment on manipulating muscle memory, a glitch in the power systems caused a chain reaction, displacing parts of Bain's memory with that of his subject, Commander Aileen. Bain became a fierce figther and leader in battle at the cost of his prior brilliance.
