The Recycling Plant allows you to recycle old ships and obtain a percentage of resources from the recycled ships. As the Recycling Plant is leveled up, a higher percentage is recovered.
Recycling Plant Data by Level
I think the calculation formula is Ship build cost(original, not the researched)*your recycling percent.
Example: If you have a level 9 recycling plant(45% recovery) 1000*0,45=450 resources will gain back.
But if you have fully reseached Quality Materials research, you will start the building that ship from (1000*0.85)=850 materials.
So if u have 850 material and recycled from it 450 =450/850=0.529=~53%
